Raising Money Through Partnership With FRY’s Food Stores

 

FRY’s Food Store is giving us an easy way to raise money for the POSA OUTREACH 907 Fund. By following the steps below you can register your own FRY’s VIP card so that any purchase you make using it will go towards cash back rewards to the POSA OUTREACH 907 Fund. The more people we have signing up and using their FRY’s VIP Card, the more money we will earn. There is NO cost to you! Just take a few minutes on line to register your card and select POSA OUTREACH number 80142 as your 501(c)3 of choice. You can only select one organization. Please select the organization that helps Scottsdale Police Officers and their families.

You can enroll online by going to: http://www.FRYsCommunityRewards.com.

Step 1: Creating an Online Fry’s Account

***NOTE: If you already have an online Fry’s account, skip to step #2.

Go to: http://www.FRYsCommunityRewards.com.

*Select “Create an Account”

*Under sign-in information, enter your e-mail and create a password. (Be sure to write down your e-mail and password, as you will need it in step #2.)

Select Your Card Number

*Enter your Fry’s VIP Card Number, last name and postal code.

*Under “Select Your Preferred Store” enter your postal code.

*Select “Find Store”.

*Choose your store then select “Create Account”.

*You will then be prompted to check your e-mail for a confirmation e-mail.

*Click the hyperlink in your e-mail to finish creating your online Fry’s Account.

*Continue to step #2 to register for the Fry’s Community Rewards Program of your choice.

STEP 2: Register for the Fry’s Community Rewards Program

*Go to: http://www.FRYsCommunityRewards.com.

*Select “Sign In”.

*Enter your e-mail and create a password then select “Sign In”. (This will be the e-mail and password you created in step #1.)

*Select “My Account”, then select “Account Settings” from drop down menu.

*Click “Edit” under Community Rewards. If prompted, enter personal information.

*Under, Find Your Organization: Enter the number

80142 or POSA OUTREACH then select “Search”.

*Under Select Your Organization: Select the box next to your organization.

*Then select “Save Changes”.

*If you have registered correctly, you should now see your organization information listed under “Community Rewards” on your Account Summary page.

Scottsdale Charros donate $7500 to Shop with a Cop program in December! Thank you!!!!

Charro Foundation logoMore outstanding news!!!  POSA OUTREACH just received word that we received a $7500 grant from the Scottsdale Charros for our Shop with a Cop program in December!  We are so grateful and could not do this without help from our community!  Thank you so much!!!

POSA OUTREACH is a FINALIST in the Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program!

100 cars for good logoGreat news!  We are a finalist for Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program!   On Sunday October 27th (that is our only voting day) I will be asking all of you on Facebook to go to the Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good Facebook page and vote for POSA OUTREACH on Sunday October 27th.  We will be competing against 4 other non profits.  Of the 5 non profits…2 will win a Toyota Highlander or Sienna.  We really need to be one of those 2 winners so we can do more outreach in the community.   This is a nation wide vote so I will be begging all of you to reach out to all of your Facebook friends across the nation to ask them to vote for POSA OUTREACH on Sunday, October 27th.

This takes no money to do…so if you always wish you could donate but just don’t have the finances because money is tight right now…this would be huge for us as an organization!!

We want to get it wrapped with lights and not only transport all of our equipment to the events, but also have it on display for the kids to see and for marketing our programs.

I know it is early…but I just want to share with you the good news and give you a heads up that I will need all of your help and all of your friends and families help on Sunday, October 27th.

POSA hosted 300 underprivileged kids and families on Sept 15th for Shrine Circus at Westworld

On Sunday, September 15th, with the help of Officers Craig Abernethy, Bryan Thomas, Toni Moag, Fred Pera, Jim Hill, and Detention Officers Barb Holman and Alan Hale, we provided a grilled lunch at Noon at Paiute Park followed by a bus trip for 300 kids and family members from the Paiute community to Westworld for the 3pm Shrine circus.

Everyone had a terrific time!  Thank you to the Shriners for giving us the tickets for the families and all the volunteers and POSA Ambassadors who came out to help.

13th Annual Police and FF Awards luncheon to be held on October 11, 2013 at Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center

On Friday, October 11, 2013, the Professional Exchange Club of Scottsdale, will present the 13th Annual Officer and Firefighter of the Year Awards Luncheon at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center, 7700 E. McCormick Pkwy, Scottsdale .   Registration will begin at 11:30am, followed by a sit-down lunch and awards program.  POSA OUTREACH and AZCOPS are annual sponsor of this event and the Valley Toyota Dealers and Right Toyota are sponsors this year!

Award recipients will be from the Scottsdale Police Department, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Public Safety, and the Scottsdale Fire Department.  This year a volunteer from each department will also be recognized.   Recipients are hand selected by their Department Heads and will receive recognition in the form of a specially created plague and an honorary medallion.

The Scottsdale Exchange Club is a local chapter of the National Exchange Club.   Their programs of service to our community include Americanism projects, youth programs, child abuse prevention projects, and other community service such as this recognition of our outstanding local crime and fire prevention individuals.

Lunch and program is $35.00.   Checks should be made payable to the Professional Exchange Club of Scottsdale.
