POSA sponsored: Book’em for preschool kids will start Wednesday Sept 18th at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall at 11am
Book’em will be returning for another year at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. Police Officers from POSA, SPD, and DPS GITEM will read to young children every Wednesday throughout 2013 until December 18th. We will restart in January 2014.
Kids will be provided a snack by SFS Mall and POSA OUTREACH will give the kids each a book to take home with them every week.
Event takes place on Wednesdays at 11am in the play area on the 3rd floor by Nordstroms close to the Disney store.
Come meet your local Police officers and let your kids be exposed to Officers in a positive way so they know they are heroes and there to help when they are in trouble. Too often parents use the police as a threat for young children. We are trying to break down that barrier and make them role models for your children to look up too.

Book’em Storytime dates set for 2012
Book’em Storytime with POSA OUTREACH and the Scottsdale Police Department will officially start on Wednesday, September 5th at 11am in the Kids’ wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall near the Disney Store and Nordstroms. Reading is scheduled to go for an hour, but sometimes ends early because the young children have short attention spans and will want to run off to play :–)
Each child will get a free book to take home each week from POSA OUTREACH and will receive a free snack from Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall to eat while they are enjoying the Police Officers reading the stories.
Age range of stories are for preschool children.

Book’em Started today September 5, 2012
What a great way to start off the Book’em program at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall! Sgt. Anthony Bellisimo a member of POSA and SPSLA read to 11 children. The children were very excited as Sgt Bellisimo (who has 3 kids of his own) used is “DAD” reading voice and entertained the young preschoolers. This joint program with SPD, POSA OUTREACH and Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall happens every Wednesday morning at 11am on the 3rd floor by Nordstroms and the Disney Store. POSA gives each child a free book to take home and SFS Mall provides snacks to the kids as they listen.
